On July 1, 2026, I had the privilege of photographing the wine tasting experience during the 4th Annual Yoniscape Retreat, hosted by Cassie Beard, founder of Pink Butterfly Bush, at a beautiful private home in Fort McDowell, Arizona.

The retreat was thoughtfully designed to help women reconnect with themselves through wellness, self-awareness, confidence, and meaningful connection. Every activity throughout the retreat reflected that purpose, and the evening wine tasting was no exception.

From genuine conversations and shared laughter to quiet moments of reflection, every photograph became part of the story.

Guests gathered as a local sommelier introduced the wines and guided the evening's tasting experience.

The evening began with an elegant table carefully prepared for guests. Wine glasses, tasting menus, notebooks, and thoughtfully arranged décor created an inviting atmosphere before the first pour.

As guests gathered, conversations began naturally. Friends embraced, introductions were made, and excitement filled the room.

A local sommelier guided everyone through a curated tasting experience, explaining each selection while encouraging guests to slow down, appreciate the aromas, discover new flavors, and enjoy the experience together.

Rather than rushing from one photograph to the next, my goal was to quietly document these interactions as they unfolded naturally.

The best event photography isn't about asking people to smile at the camera. It's about preserving the moments they never realized were happening.

Each pour sparked new conversations, shared laughter, and memorable moments throughout the evening.
